Let’s be clear: I’m not here to sell you some shiny, perfect leadership story.
I’m a mid-career corporate leader — in the trenches, doing this work in real time.
Burned out? Been there.
Trapped by golden handcuffs? Still there.
Dreaming of freedom and real leadership? Every damn day.
I’m not pretending to have it all figured out — but I am done pretending that THIS is good enough.
I didn’t get into leadership to spend my days updating dashboards.
I didn’t sign up to chase metrics that don’t move the needle.
Here’s a perfect example:
Just last month, we were told a new project was “high priority” — go back and enter EVERY project from the last 18 months into their new dashboard.
Closed, open, canceled, delayed — all of it.
Meanwhile, I’ve got THREE suppliers in ownership transition — live risk, real-time.
Supply continuity is on the line.
Customer commitments are on the line.
But THIS dashboard? That was the “priority.”
Looking backward — instead of focusing on the real risks we’re facing today.
And THAT is the game so many of us are stuck in — performative leadership that looks good on paper, while the real work gets pushed aside.
I don’t know about you — but I’m done playing that game.
I started leaning into leadership development and coaching because it was the only part that felt real anymore.
Helping people. Coaching others. Building leaders — not just processes.
At the same time, I started building my own path OUT:
✅ Coaching programs
✅ Buying a business
✅ Designing leadership on MY terms
And here’s what I know:
You don’t have to wait until you’re “ready” or fully out to start leading differently TODAY.
