A few years ago, I was burnt out. Stuck in the tactical grind of my corporate job, feeling uninspired and drained. Then, everything changed—I got promoted to a leadership role. Suddenly, I wasn’t just getting the work done; I was leading the people doing the work.

Determined to be a better leader than some of the ones I’d had (we all know those managers), I threw myself into leadership development—reading, learning, coaching, and mentoring. And you know what? I loved it. Coaching, strategy, and seeing my team thrive lit me up in a way my work never had before.

At the same time, I took a leap and started the process of buying a business. I joined a coaching program for small business owners, expecting to learn a lot. And I did—but what I didn’t expect was how much I’d want to be on the other side of the table, guiding others through their own challenges.

That experience woke me up. I realized that small business owners—especially small manufacturers—face massive roadblocks that keep them from reaching their full potential. They’re capable, innovative, and driven, but they get stuck reacting instead of leading. They struggle to scale, attract the right buyers, or build a business that runs beyond just them.
